The first time I asked Jojo Quimpo what his stance was on Cyber Bullying was around April 4, 2014 on his public Facebook wall that announced he was a Conservative Nominee. I thought that if he wants to run for a very important government job like being a Member of Parliament he wouldn’t mind answering a simple question.
I asked Jojo Quimpo “What is your stand on CYBER BULLYING?”, he would not answer me. So I asked again a week later and he still would not answer.
I went on his Facebook sometime on June 8, 2014 to see if he had responded, but instead I found out that he erased my question and that he blocked me from his Facebook page so I could not comment any more. Jojo Quimpo wants to run for a Member of Parliament and he can’t even answer a question like that?
February of 2013, Jojo Quimpo started a Facebook thread titled HYPOCRISY ANNOYS ME, PEOPLE NEED TO LOOK INTO MIRRORS and allowed postings from his friends and associates on this public thread that was attacking someone, then eventually out of the blue they focused on my wife Luisa Marshall. In my opinion, in part, this posting amounted to Cyber Bullying against my wife, business and contained homophobic slurs against a guest Luisa interviewed.
In part, Roque Juatco Jr wrote on Jojo Quimpo’s Facebook wall “…Seriously you choose a Career to be an Impersonator? That means you’re a copy of someone else, so really what does that say about you? Lack of Creativity, No Originality…Come on seriously…Ya let’s go to Vegas where all the Impersonators perform, and enjoy and laugh at them… We are laughing at these Jokers… these waste of time people…”
Romeo Gabriola Torres also commented (Paraphrased and translated into English): “WTF Luisa Marshall…what a looser… Hahaha it’s so funny she interviewed a Gay in her show…many people are mad at this Gay…Luisa M., you should change the title of your show which nobody watches to SIMPLY THE BEST LIAR.”
Was he “Kind, thoughtful and humble”? Did he “STAND UP” to Bullying? In my opinion, no.
Jojo Quimpo commented numerous times in this thread supporting his buddies. Mr. Quimpo left this online publicly on his Facebook for about 19 days with over 110 comments before taking it down just in time for Anti-Bullying Day.
Quimpo, then, posted nice pictures of him and his buddies in pink shirts with ironic statements. Look at the quote Quimpo put after allowing his buddies to attack Luisa. It read, “The challenge of being a leader is to always remain calm, kind, thoughtful and humble. But when people maliciously attack and push you to the ground you have to be bold and strong. YOU HAVE TO STAND UP!”
Was he “Kind, thoughtful and humble”? Did he “STAND UP” to Bullying? In my opinion, no.
I expected Jojo Quimpo to stand up against Cyber Bullying and immediately take down that Facebook post and tell his friends and associates to not involve him in posts like that.
If there was nothing wrong with his Facebook thread then why did Jojo Quimpo take it down before supporting Anti-Bullying day?
Did Jojo Quimpo finally realize that maybe his own post in itself was Cyber Bullying?
When Quimpo announced his candidacy, the Conservatives had a website article titled “STAND UP FOR VICTIMS”. I thought that if I warned the Conservatives about Jojo Quimpo’s lack of action to stop Cyber Bullying on his Facebook page they would terminate his candidacy.
I contacted the main Conservative website, then Andrew Saxton, Alice Wong, Senator Enverga and Yonah Martin and they all ignored me. It would appear they just don’t care about the bad behavior of one of their candidates.
Why would I want a guy like this as a representative in Ottawa? No thanks, he would never get my vote.
I want to be clear I’m non-partisan, but any political party that allows a candidate to not stand up to Cyber-Bullying against anyone, I will have issues with them, too.
I asked Jojo Quimpo numerous questions by email. Quimpo did not respond as of press time.
