December 31st/2015, NYE at the Holiday Inn Vancouver Centre
Professionals, retirees, supporters, ballroom enthusiasts gathered together at Holiday Inn ballroom to celebrate the ringing in the New Year. The room was bustling with excitement as people feasted on roast beef, baja fish with white sauce, salads, vegetables, mashed potatoes, rice and barbeque duck. There was absolutely no more room for dessert. However, generous glasses of red wine on the tables helped to loosen up everybody so Simply the Best TV show team had a great time interviewing some happy people.
Known for his flamboyant colorful attires and wild sunglasses, DJ Rollie Salazar has hosted this Ballroom Dancing tradition to welcome the New Year for about 15 years in a row. Loyal friends and ballroom diehards celebrate the beginning and the end with tango, waltz, swing, cha-cha, rhumba, jive and modern dances on one of the best dance floors in town.
There’s no doubt that grand buffet, champagne, non-stop dance music and door prizes are a fantastic combination at the La Mirage New Year’s Eve Ballroom Party. The whole ballroom flair simply makes the non-ballroom dancers and party guests smile throughout the entire evening. It’s a tradition worth keeping.
