A Memorandum of Understanding between the BC Construction Association Integrating Newcomers (BCCA-IN) represented by F. Abigail Fulton, Vice-President, and The Multicultural Helping House Society (MHHS) represented by its president Tatay Tom Avendano, signed a Memorandum of Understanding last November 12, 2015, as an initiative to increase immigrant participation in the construction industry through a combination of assessment, coaching and job placement.
The mandate of the program is to integrate workers and provide the service with a no fee.
Upon the opening of the Multicultural Helping House Society in Manila, lots of Filipinos will be happy to apply for a job here in Canada with a NO FEE service for their job placement.
There was a panel discussion with Matthew M. Stevenson (Trades Assessor – Consultant, BCCA Integrating Newcomers), F. Abigail Fulton (Vice-President. BCCA), Tatay Tom Avendano (President, MHHS), Marius Alparaque (Executive Director, MHHS).
Others present were Mike Cayetano (Vice President, MHHS), Demetrio Avendano (Board of Director, MHHS), Pocholo Insua (Board of Director, MHHS), and Laarni Liwanag (Philippine Canadian Inquirer).
Multicultural Helping House Society president Tatay Tom Avendano is glad to finally get the much needed collaboration.
