Thrill seekers in North Vancouver slid, scream and enjoyed immensely a 300 meter waterslide brought in by Slide the City on a Car Free Day. Sliders on inflatable tubes ripped down three lanes on Lonsdale Avenue from Victoria Park to East 4th Street. Tickets to the event were sold out even if it was priced in US dollars. Due to Metro Vancouver’s water restrictions, Slide City organizers hired a private trucking company to bring in 50,000 liters of water from the Fraser Valley. (slidethecity.com)
