The new Delta branch of Kumare restaurant formally opened last January 16th, 2016.
Kumare is known for its home cooked meals like Kare-Kare, Chicken & Pork Barbecue and Seafood Sinigang and not to forget its famous Hopia, Ensaymada and our favorite Halo-Halo. “We, at Kumare, strive to make your every dining experience delightful and memorable.” said Kumare restaurant owner Mary Loa.
Kumare’s Richmond branch was popular for its great cuisine since 2010 and a favorite gourmet destination for Filipinos visiting the city.
The successful grand opening was attended by the City of Delta acting Mayor Bruce MacDonald representing Mayor Lois Jackson, Delta councilor Heather King, Philippine Deputy Consul General Anthony Mandap, PCTC president Jorge Marco, SPIDS founding director Narima dela Cruz, VIP guests, and scores of loyal patrons. Father Amador Abundo blessed the building while Pastor Art Fabian read dedications to Kumare staff and management.
Councilor Heather King said, “I’m really looking forward to bringing the people of Delta to be customers here. I’ve been always in search for a place to have a cup of coffee and give back to the local businesses and to touch base with you, Mary. And to see how local government and local business continue to work together to help you prosper.”
Kumare is open every day of the week from 10:30 am to 9 pm. You can also order party trays for special occasions. Address: Unit 100-8047 120th St., Delta, BC. Tel: 778-591-2555
