“Manila Comes To Town” a big hit

Filipino food trucks hit Vancouver’s mainstream tourist spot 3 days in a row from September 3rd to 5th 2019. The first Filipino event in Canada Place was a big hit with unexpected line-ups for Shameless Buns and Max’s Restaurant. People waited up to forty-five minutes to get their order.

MetroVan Independent News Publishers, Steve and Luisa Marshall enjoyed some of Shameless Bun’s “Adobo Buns” and “Adobo Fries” before grabbing Max’s Restaurant’s “Pancit Palabok” and “Lumpiang Shanghai” for takeout.

Upbeat Filipino music blared across the street as Philippine Consul General Andrelita Austria and her staff showcased Filipino hospitality.

“Manila Comes To Town” was a bold step to spotlight Filipino cuisine with a fusion fare to Vancouver’s multicultural population. The event paves way for more Filipino food trucks to proudly share the different flavours of the Philippines in the near future.

The next time you crave for fries, try Shameless Buns “Adobo” or “Sinigang”.  www.shamelessbuns.com https://streetfoodapp.com/vancouver/shameless-buns
